Starbreaker

Time for a new continuity?

I’m not the man I was when I first wrote Starbreaker in the late 1990s and 2000s.
I’m not the man I was when I wrote for Curiosity Quills in the 2000s and published Without Bloodshed and Silent Clarion . I’ve grown. I’ve faced loss. I’ve survived a plague.
Surely Starbreaker is different now, isn’t it?
Even if it isn’t, I want to hit the reset button. I don’t want to be stuck with the story I established for CQ. They shafted me and every other author they had under contract.
Nor do I want to write under my birth name.
I already run starbreaker.org as “Matt Cambion”. I can write and publish under that name, too.

Been there and done that, too, but it might be worth a shot. I can always publish collections or build a novel out of shorts.

The question of form is perhaps premature. Let’s first consider the stage and the cast.

Earth, 21XX (the precise year is irrelevant)
